This might have been my favorite summer yet. After a difficult summer last year (we lost out on a home just one day shy of closing on us, leaving us without a place to live), Bill and I were determined to make the most of the season this year. I think we accomplished that.
Putting these pictures together helped me remember and appreciate the great life that I’m lucky to have, which I don’t do often enough.
Saw Beyoncé in concert. It was amazing.
Visited our favorite winery, Taylor Brooke in Woodstock, Conn.
Spent an incredible anniversary at the beach.
Where I was gifted this stunning anniversary band.
🙂
Visited Gillette Castle, an inside joke my husband and I have had for years.
Celebrated an amazing friend at her bridal shower.
Saw our favorite podcast, Gilmore Guys, live.
Had another spontaneous trip to the beach.
Where we ate this.
Prepared to say goodbye to my parents, who would be moving to California.
Spent some quality time with my parents before their move, including having my dad install this hand-crafted door installed in the house.
Tried a delicious restaurant that only services meatballs. Amazing and hilarious!
Wished my parents luck before their move.
Started having drinks after work with friends. (Much needed; much deserved.)
Attended a food truck festival and tried lots of food, including this delicious bahn mi sandwich.
Took my grandma to the beach for her birthday.
Spent time with Grandma
Did our first bar crawl (for charity!).
Went away to Vermont.
Snuggled a lot with this little peanut.
Tried Smashburger.
Went on a “booze cruise” (seriously!) on the Connecticut River.
Celebrated our one-year anniversary of owning our home.
Finished phase one of renovating our home (pics soon!)
And, now, I’m ready to say hello to my favorite season: fall.
Here’s to a lovely fall.
