My hair is getting long again and I’m feeling back in my element. I missed my long hair which went away last May when I chopped it all off. My long hair and glasses have been such a defining trait of mine for my life that it feels weird when I make a change, which is why it’s kind of funny that just when my hair has gotten back to “normal” I’ve decided to change my glasses.
New eyes, y’all. I went from my regular-degular black wayfarer-esque glasses to some cat eye glasses—with glitter accents! Because I’m 30 years old and trying to live my best life!
🙂
In July, it was hot and gross and rainy, but I wore cute clothes and had good hair days, so it all evens out, right?

Fun fact: on the day I wore this outfit, it was downpouring when I got out of work. So, my dress was soaking wet during my 10-minute walk to the car and I ended up having to take my shoes off and walk barefoot because my feet were just sliding around a bunch in the shoes. Thanks, terrible weather!

In July, I spent a lot of time outside in spite of the oppressive heat. I visited the Quabbin Reservoir for the first time (beautiful!) while Bill spent time with friends and sent me an adorable selfie with one of their dogs; I went out to dinner with Bill a few times; had my annual Grandma-Daughter day at the beach; spent time with beautiful friends on several occasions, including one which had photographic evidence (yay, Cait and Paige!); and spent an incredible day on the CT shoreline with Bill.
Here it is in photos.
