Outfits of June 2017

June is one of my favorite months. It’s still the not-quite-too-hot part before summer starts, but there are plenty of warm days that are perfect for lounging around outside or going to the beach.

Plus, my anniversary is in June. On June 17, my husband and I celebrated our second wedding anniversary and our eleventh year being together. I did a lot of other things in June, too, some lovely (met a friend’s new baby; got an exciting new job (details soon!); accomplished a huge writing goal) and not-so-lovely (said farewell to my family’s first dog, Tiny).

Here is a glimpse into what I wore.

The most important thing to know about this outfit is that this skirt has pockets—and I can fit tons of things in them, like staplers and notebooks and tumblers. (Pockets get me so excited I spent the whole day in the office showing them off.)

Also tied for favorite outfit of the month, and another I felt beautiful wearing. I wasn’t a big fan of the cold shoulder look, but this dress is so beautiful I got it in two colors (this dusty rose and a cream color; I also dyed a third version of this dress red, not kidding).

Here are some photos from my life in June, too.

So Long, Summer 2016

This might have been my favorite summer yet. After a difficult summer last year (we lost out on a home just one day shy of closing on us, leaving us without a place to live), Bill and I were determined to make the most of the season this year. I think we accomplished that.

Putting these pictures together helped me remember and appreciate the great life that I’m lucky to have, which I don’t do often enough.

Here’s to a lovely fall.
